We've Missed You...

February 2010

If clients have visited your salon but not returned you need to find out why they stopped using you. Then apply that knowledge to regain their custom.

So why do clients abandon you to go to the salon down the road? Research suggests the main reason clients move on is because they don't feel that they have sufficient contact from the salon. If you don't maintain regular contact, clients may feel they are being ignored, and go elsewhere. So, rebuild contact with old clients and keep saying a big "hello and welcome" to your existing clients to keep them on board.

The first step is to rebuild contact and prove you understand the client's needs and are focused on these needs. We will help you with this as part of our monthly retainer. But be warned: don't lure back former clients at any cost. You need to build lasting profitable relationships. It's rarely a good idea to make long-term offers that don't contribute profit just to get a client back on board - unless there are compelling strategic reasons to do so.
